How I can have awareness if I have skin cancer?

Information on Skin Cancer
If you have skin cancer, you will first notice something out of the ordinary on your skin. In most cases skin cancer affects those parts of your body that are exposed to sunlight. That is why you are most likely to notice this disease on your back, your face, arms and even your lips. However you should not ignore any unnatural growth or patches on the skin that is not exposed to the sun. In some cases skin cancer has been known to affect the skin on the chest or even the skin between the fingers.
Always keep an eye open for patches of skin of an unnatural color. If you notice that you have a lesion with a scaly surface you should immediately consult your doctor. In some cases skin cancer first makes its appearance as small, hard red nodules. Often bumps which are shaped liked domes also mark the beginning of skin cancer. The skin on these bumps is usually shiny. Even a mole that seems to be getting bigger and spreading is cause for cancer and should immediately be examined. In some cases you may notice that the mole begins to bleed. Sometimes you may notice brown lesions on various parts of your body.
