Facts about Skin Cancer
There are lots of things I read about skin cancer but my wife says it is wrong? Can you able to provide some facts.

Causes and Symptoms of Skin Cancer
Skin cancer is something that is eminently preventable. It results from consistent exposure to harsh sunlight without adequate protection. The main fact about skin cancer is that although we should not go to the extreme of avoiding any exposure to sunlight, it is wise to protect exposed parts of the skin, especially when there are chances of being out in the burning hot sun for a long time.
Another thing that one needs to avoid is the over use of tanning beds and sun bathing to an excessive degree. Not all kinds of skins react kindly to sunlight. If you tend to burn easily in the sun it is best to control the amount of time and the intensity of the sun light that you are exposed to. And always remember to lather on a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30.
All types of skin cancer are not always fatal. The non-melanoma type of cancer known as Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC) is most common and the least fatal. It rarely results in death. The other type of non-melanoma type known as Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC) is moderately fatal and as long as adequate action is taken need not become more serious. Melanoma, is the final type, and it is also the most fatal. Most deaths from skin cancer occur because of this type. It is usually preceded, not by prolonged sun exposure, but by short, intense bouts of exposure that have resulted in cases of skin burn.
