Skin Cancer Treatment
There are three kinds of therapies that can be used to treat all kinds of cancers. One is surgery, which is a fairly common method and is widely used to treat non-malignant types of skin cancers that do not spread to all parts of the body easily, such as basal cell skin cancer and squamous cell skin cancer. There are also various kinds of surgery that can be used, which would generally depend upon the kind of cancer you would have and the amount it has spread as well. The kinds of surgery that can be used are simple and shave excisions, laser, cryosurgery or dermabrasion. Once again it is important to stress that which one is used would depend upon your problem and your doctor.
Chemotherapy is also a common method used to cure cancer. By this method, you can inject drugs into the body so that they spread out and begin to destroy cancer cells, and arrest further growth and spread as well. Chemotherapy also sometimes involves topical application of creams and ointments that may destroy the damage caused to the surface of the skin. Another kind of therapy employed to eliminate cancer from the body is radiation, wherein the body is exposed to x rays and other kinds of rays that will kill cancerous cells.
