Information on Skin Cancer and Tumour
Skin cancer is a medical condition that affects the skin of individuals. There are different reasons for the skin to be affected and develop cancer. If you have been exposed to the sun or have a job working close to radiation or even if you have a family history of skin problems, you are likely to get cancer. Although people generally believe that cancer only affects the skin that is exposed to the sunlight, this is not always true.
The cells in the human body are constantly dying and are automatically being replaced with healthy new ones. Sometimes however, the process of the birth of new cells gets a little out of control. As a result you may suddenly have cells multiplying madly in your body. When these cells get together in a mass, this is known as a tumour. Our body is affected by other types of cancer, which affect other parts of the human body. However the essential definition of cancer remains the same and when a person has cancer it essentially means that the healthy cells in his body are multiplying uncontrollably. When you have skin cancer you will notice a variety of rashes, lesions and bumps on your body. The symptoms for the other types of cancer vary.
