Some people have oily hair because of heredity. Other people notice that their hair becomes oily due to the environment, their lifestyle and even their eating habits. You can help your oily hair become less oily and cure oily hair by following some simple oily hair remedies. If you find that the shampoos available in the market are not very effective in reducing the oiliness of your hair, then you can make some simple homemade shampoos. One of the easiest and most effective ways to wash your hair using homemade shampoo is by using soap nuts. These are round nuts with a seed in them. You can either buy the whole nuts or else the powdered soap nut. If you buy the soap nut you should first break these open using a hammer. Discard the seed inside and soak the skin overnight in hot water. In the morning you can squeeze the soap nuts with your hands and then discard them. You can use the water to wash your hair in place of a store bought shampoo. Using this will make your hair really clean and soft and silky. Regular usage of this homemade shampoo will improve the quality of your hair.

Another easy to use home made shampoo is made from gooseberry. You will need to buy dried Indian gooseberry. Boil this in a cup of water and leave it overnight. In the morning you can use this to rinse your hair. This will leave your hair feeling squeaky clean. You can also make chamomile shampoo at home. For this you will require four tea bags of chamomile tea. Steep these in one and half cups of hot water. Leave this for at least fifteen minutes and then remove the teabags and discard them. Add four tablespoons soap flakes to the chamomile brew and let them dissolve. Add one and half tablespoons of glycerin to this mixture. You can store this shampoo and use it regularly. For another easy to make shampoo, all you need to do is to mash a ripe avocado. Add a small amount of baking soda to this and mix well. You can use some water to make a smooth paste. Apply this on your hair in place of your regular shampoo and you will have very soft, silky hair. You can also wash your hair with gram flour. Mix one and half tablespoon of gram flour with some water. The gram flour paste should be worked into your hair and then washed off.
