Tips to Whiten Skin

This blackness can be due to hyperpigmentation of skin. Hyper-pigmentation is a type of skin darkening which occurs when certain areas skin cells release more skin pigment – melanin. It is usually not an issue of worry but it can also be due to some serious underlying disorder like Addison's disease, PCOS, melanoderma, chloasma (often during pregnancy) or scleroderma. Before giving you any advise some more details are necessary to know, is this darkness due to some burn marks or due to any other reason, do you have a similar dark region elsewhere in the body or for how long these spots are there? Is the blackness there from birth or developed over a course of time? The darker patch on the skin can be due to intake of certain medications like iron supplements, hormonal changes during pregnancy or menopause and deficiency of certain vitamin like vitamin A, B or E. if you have a mild case of skin hyperigmentation it can be treated easily with certain home remedies. Try the following home remedies for hyperpigmentation treatment

  • Aloe vera works wonders for skin with hyper-pigmentation. Take a fresh aloe vera leaf and cut it from the middle to take out the gel. Apply it over the dark skin around your upper thigh and leave it for 20 minutes.
  • Skin bleaching is also another treatment for hyper-pigmentation. For this you can use a natural bleaching agent from your refrigerator – lemon. Cut a fresh slice of lemon and rub it on the dark area of the skin. Leave it for 20 minutes and then wash it off, for more convenience you can practice this remedy every day 20-30 minutes before taking a shower. After coming out from the shower when the skin is still little moist apply a sunscreen lotion. These remedies when followed on regular basis will help to lighten the black area effectively. However if this darkening is severe and doesn't show any difference then it would be wise to consult a dermatologist who can prescribe appropriate ointments and medications for the same.
