Washing hair is essential as shampooing helps to clean the dirt and excess oil from the hair and scalp. Unless your hair is not excessively dry or clean washing every alternate day is perfectly fine as this will help to leave your hair in a more clean state. If your hair is oily and accumulates more dirt then it becomes necessary to wash your hair every alternate day to keep them clean. Shampoo and should be used according to your hair type, if your hair is oily then use shampoo and conditioner for oily hair, if dry or brittle then use the same for dry hair. If you have dry hairs then avoid any products with alcohol for your hair as these can further damage and dry your hair. Ideally to keep the hair clean they should be washed every alternate day. To avoid any damage to your hair it is important to wash your hair with care. Before preparing yourself to wash hair that is before pouting water in your hair, comb your hair using a wide tooth comb. This will remove any tangles from your hair and thus prevent hair breakage while washing. Never pour the shampoo on your scalp directly. Always take a small amount of shampoo on your wet hands and rub within your palms. Then massage gently on your scalp and shaft of the hair using your hands and fingers in circular and rotating movements. Rinse thoroughly after applying the shampoo and apply more shampoo for the second time only if needed. If you shampoo every alternate days then there is no need to use two times. Check hairlines to make sure that all the dirt and oil is removed. Dry them very gently by pressing wet hair with in the towel and then smoothing the towel along the length of the hair. Avoid blow drying as far as possible.
