To treat your pigmentation problem first you need to know the cause for the same. In most of the cases hyper-pigmentation occurs due to exposure to sun. This can be simply avoided by carrying an umbrella or a hat to protect the delicate skin which is very sensitive to the sun's ultraviolet rays. To avoid further pigmentation always remember to wear a sunscreen lotion of more than 20 sun protecting factor 20 minutes before you step out in the heat. Sun's rays are at its peak between10 am to 3 pm, preferably stay indoors in the office or at home in this period. For the already pigmented skin you can try the following home remedies -

  • Take 2 teaspoon of milk powder add (20 volume strength) hydrogen peroxide to it to make a thick paste. To this paste add few drops of glycerin and apply it to the pigmented patches of the skin. Leave it for 20 minutes and rinse it off later with cold water. This is a very good remedy to lighten the pigmented spots on the skin. After washing the skin if you feel dry then apply a regular moisturizer.
  • If you have a vitamin E capsule, break it open and add a few drops of castor oil to it. Apply this on the pigmented skin and see the results. Vitamin E helps to decrease the pigmented areas on the skin.
  • Aloe vera gel or fresh aloe vera juice extracted from an aloe vera leaf when applied on the skin will not only help to deal with pigmentation but will also help to improve your skin texture and complexion.
  • To keep the skin hydrated drink lots of water, fresh fruit juice and fresh vegetable juices. Fresh fruits and vegetables when included in whole and cooked form also proves beneficial to improve the skin complexion.
