Herpes Skin Rash
Is there anything similar to herpes skin rash. I heard about this from a friend, could you tell me something more about this?

Viral Skin Rash
Herpes skin rash is a type of viral skin infection caused by herpes simplex virus. HSV-1 causes lip and facial rashes while HSV-2 leads to genital herpes. One's sexual history determines the prevalence of genital herpes. The area that is affected becomes painful and may also itch. Symptoms of herpes are swollen lymph glands, painful inflamed blisters around the infected area, headache, muscle ache, fever, vaginal or penis discharge, infection of urethra causing burning sensation during urination, burning sensation in the genitals, lower back pains, and smaller red bumps may occur in the genital area. Like most viral infections herpes, skin rash has no cure. Herpes skin rash is spread skin-to-skin contact so to prevent herpes skin rash avoid skin contact with the person suffering from the infection. Shingles is a form of skin rash similar to herpes skin rash. It is caused by the same virus causing chickenpox. However, it is not what causes genital herpes. It is known as herpes zoster but is not related to herpes skin rash. Shingles causes pain, which may continue even after the rash is gone. There are many steroids, anti-viral drugs and vaccines that help to reduce the pain caused by shingles and also lessen its severity.
