A skin rash can affect any person; it is a type of skin problem. It causes the skin to become inflamed, change its color and texture. Many a times there occurs blisters and bumpy patches on the skin. There is mostly an intense burning sensation experienced in the affected area. There are many types of rashes and each has their special characteristics. The cause and symptoms of each rash is different. The rash may affect any pert of the body. Some rashes are confined to a certain area while some others may be generalized. The rashes, which erupt on the torso, are localized rashes. Pityriasis rosea is an example of a rash, which, erupts on the torso and the upper extremities. The rashes, which erupt on the torso, are generally pink and oval with slightly overlying scale. The rash is usually non-itchy. The scientists have recently found evidence that indicates that the human herpes virus is responsible for such rashes, but it is not yet confirmed. These rashes generally take six to twelve weeks to cure. They resolve without leaving any scar on the skin. These rashes once eliminated, generally do not reoccur.
