Permanent straightening uses lot of chemicals which many times penetrate in the roots compromising the hair quality. Many individuals after straightening complain hair loss and dandruff issue. Try the following remedies at home to ease your problem -
- Mix 8-9 drops of lemon juice to an egg, beat it well and apply it on the hair. Leave it for some time and use a mild shampoo which suits your hair type to wash your hair. Each time you use a shampoo or conditioners make sure to rinse it off thoroughly.
- To soften your hair use a natural conditioner made at home. Mix Indian gooseberry powder and acacia concinna powder in curds and use this mixture as a conditioner.
- Soak about 15 gm of fenugreek seeds in a cup of water overnight, next day mornings when the seeds will soften grind them. Apply this grounded paste on the scalp and leave it for 30 minutes. Rinse it off then with lukewarm water. This is a very effective remedy for dandruff, practice regularly for best results.
- Straightening often causes the scalp to become oily and the ends are generally dry, if you are in the same dilemma then it is important to moisturize the ends to prevent breakage and hair fall. For this simply wash your hair from the scalp using a shampoo suitable for your hair type when you feel the hair has become oily. Don't concentrate more on the ends. Then when it comes to conditioner, just apply it on the hair shafts and ends; don't run the conditioner on the scalp at all. After washing your hair in this way let it dry on its own, never use a blow dryer because it will further tend to make your hair dry. Excessive dry hair is prone to lot of damage and breakage which in turn causes hair loss.
