Chronic Skin Rash

Causes and Symptoms of Chronic Skin Rash
A skin rash is the condition in which the skin tends to change color, texture and becomes dry and inflamed. The skin rash which may be very severe or life threatening is known as chronic skin rash. A rash is a common skin problem. Most types of skin rashes are not dangerous but a mere nuisance. Chronic skin rashes occur very rarely. However, whenever they erupt they should be diagnosed immediately and a doctor should be consulted. Five fatal diseases that have a life threatening skin rash as their primary symptom are pemphigus vulgaris (PV), Stevens Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN), toxic shock syndrome (TSS) and staphylococcal scaled skin syndrome. The chronic rashes affect the entire body or most of it. They affect both the skin and the mucous membrane. These chronic rashes are generally accompanied by blisters. Prevention to these types of skin rashes is difficult as the accurate causes of these rashes have not been found as yet. If these rashes are kept untreated then the person suffering from them can die. Hence, immediate treatment for theses type of skin rashes is very important.
