Advice on Bumpy Skin Rash
Generally, skin rash features development of red bumps on the skin caused inflammation of skin. As a result, the skin may become itchy, swollen and bumpy. The bumpy skin rashes are not usually contagious and may be triggered by external factors such as food, dust, dry air, certain fabrics and animal dander. Dry and sensitive skin is more prone to developing bumpy skin rashes. These skin rashes may result from different conditions such as bacterial, fungal and viral infections, allergic reactions to chemicals, foods, medications and environmental factors, parasitic infestations and other diseases like psoriasis and eczema. These conditions can cause appearance of red bumps on the skin. These rashes can lead to change in texture and color of the skin. The skin may become dry, bumpy, red, itchy and swollen. This bumpy skin rash may be localized means affecting a particular organ or generalized means involving the entire body; it can be diagnosed on the basis of symptoms and physical examination. It is necessary to understand first the reasons for bumpy skin rashes to decide the treatment plan accordingly. Treatment for bumpy skin rashes includes use of medications, antibiotics and ointments. Since, dry skin is more sensitive, try to keep your skin hydrated and moisturized. Use of mild soap and warm water is recommended in order to clean your skin.
