Advice on Acne Skin
Acne can develop into a chronic skin condition. In United States acne has recently become the most common skin disorder. It is one of the acute skin problems which affect any type of person. Acne skin is generally characterized by pimples, whiteheads, blackheads, redness, inflammation and irritation. Acne can occur mostly on the face, neck, chest, shoulders and upper back. Acne prone skin is considered to have no cure. However it is manageable and controllable. In teenagers acne is mostly spotted on forehead, cheeks, nose and chin. In adults it affects the perioral areas around the mouth chin and jaw. An acne skin is observed to be genetically determined and hormonally triggered. It is influenced by three factors like there are excessive surface skin cells, androgen hormones which cause the oil glands to give out more oil than necessary, and the mixture of the oil and the bacteria which gets trapped under the skin surface. There may occur hyper pigmentation and blemishes which take month to recover. Acne skin may be treated by AHA and BHA based products as they are effective in treating the acne. Besides, anti irritants, anti inflammatories and anti bacterial stop the excess cell build up and keep the skin pores clear and free from infection. Usage of any product should be consulted with the doctor first. Keep washing the face often and while washing use hands as the usage of terrycloth or scrubber may aggravate the acne.
