Home Skin Care Treatment Holistic skin care can mean taking care of your skin both externally and from within. Thus instead of focusing on any one aspect of skin care you are carrying out a complete and total change in the way you look after your biggest organ. So while proper cleansing, exfoliating, and moisturizing is a must from the outside, a healthy diet and exercise regimen is a absolute necessity to clean out the inside. When the body is rid of its toxins through a healthy food and appropriate exercise routine it will show in skin that glows with health.
Make sure you wash your face with water at least three to four times a day. Use a good quality face scrub once a day. Look for products that are hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic, especially if you are prone to oily skin. At the end of the day moisturize your skin with a lightweight, non-greasy moisturizer (but only after you have cleaned it). To make sure the skin is really holistic drink at least twelve to fourteen glasses of plain water everyday. Avoid toxic fluids like coffee, tea, alcohol or aerated drinks. Eat plenty of high water content food like fruits and vegetables. Indulge in some form of exercise everyday.
