Natural remedies and hair care basics for reducing hair loss and healthy hair

Please suggest natural remedies for hair growth!

Although there are numerous remedies and medications available that claim to increase or stimulate hair growth, these claims are in most cases fabrications or exaggerations. The fact is that there is no medication or home remedy that can do this beyond a doubt, let alone reduce hair loss. Hair loss is a natural phenomenon, but excessive hair loss can be very problematic as it results in thinning. Natural remedies and some simple hair care basics can help make a big difference in such situations. They might not necessarily stimulate or increase hair growth, but with good hair care there will be a visible improvement in the quality and texture of hair. Hair loss due to neglect and abuse will also be reduced, giving your hair more volume.

Here are some natural remedies and hair care basics that are believed to be quite effective in reducing hair loss and improving the health and quality of your hair.

  • Massaging the scalp for a few minutes every day can help stimulate the blood flow to hair follicles and stimulate the production of natural oils. In minor cases of temporary hair loss this may also stimulate hair growth to some extent.
  • Aromatherapy has also become an increasingly popular aspect of any hair care regimen. You can add equal proportions of bay and lavender essential oils to a base of soybean, sesame or almond oil and massage it gently into your scalp. Allow it to stay in for at least twenty minutes.
  • Rosemary and sage are useful herbs for your hair care regimen. Boil them with nettle, peach leaf and burdock and strain the liquid. Use this liquid to wash your hair on a daily basis.
  • Aloe vera, jojoba oil and henna are some other traditional herbs that are extremely useful and worth considering to improve the health of your hair.

In addition to a good hair care regimen diet and exercise play an important role in maintaining the health of your hair. Many diseases that affect the scalp are a direct result of toxemia. Cleanse your system occasionally with natural enemas or natural laxatives like psyllium husk. Make sure that you follow a healthy diet with a good amount of fresh fruits and vegetables, while cutting down on junk foods.
Although exercising may have no direct effect on hair growth as does a diet, it does improve the blood flow, oxygenation of body cells, and helps with proper digestion, indirectly promoting the health of your hair follicles.
