Tips and treatments for sudden hair loss and acne formation

How to control sudden loss of hair and acne occurrence?

Your girlfriend’s situation is a result of change in the hormones in her body. This is also known as a Hormonal imbalance. It is a very common condition among women and can result in various complications, which can have an impact on them externally; hair loss, acne, obesity or internally; on her life and relationships. A woman’s body produces two types of hormones; progesterone and estrogen. Both these hormones have to be produced equally. Hormonal imbalance occurs when the production of estrogen is not balanced by equal production of progesterone. Lack of proper nutrition, stress, too much alcohol, smoking, no physical activity and irregular periods could lead to such an imbalance. The symptoms include mood swings, hair loss, acne, depression, sudden weight gain and facial hair growth.

Sudden hair loss could be due to an imbalance in thyroid hormones. If the thyroid gland is under or over active it may result it hair fall. Besides the hormonal changes, loss of hair could also be because of inadequate nutrition, stress, and deficiency of folic acid and lack of vitamin B6. Frizzy hair is mainly genetic; therefore, if your girlfriend had straight hair, the frizziness could be due to cuticle damage in hair layers and lack of hair moisture. It could also be due to high level of humidity. Even a few seconds in a humid environment can make your frizzy. Overuse of hair products or excess coloring and bleaching could also make her hair go frizzy. Simple ways to control frizzy hair would be by avoiding over shampooing. Rinsing with cold water would also help. As her hair is fine, it would be better not to over condition it.  Acne too, could be a result of such an imbalance. Adult women and teenagers both suffer with acne due to changes in their hormones. Though the imbalances could be due to different reasons.

All these problems happening simultaneously can be solved by a balanced diet and a healthy life style. The trick is to make small changes to your daily diet and routine. Changing your lifestyle has the lowest risk but really high benefits. Some basic changes would be to exercise regularly, drink lots of water, avoid caffeine, alcohol and smoking. One must also take a minimum of seven to eight hours of sleep. Breathing exercises and adequate intake of required vitamins is also vital in reducing acne and hair related problems. While all these changes will help in many ways they would not directly tackle the hormonal problem. Alternative medicines or solutions would be necessary. Besides making these changes, I would also suggest you take your girlfriend to a gynecologist.
