Hair remedies for premature hair graying treatment and control

Reduce white hair with nutritious diet

Hair gets its color from melanin, the same natural pigment that gives your skin its color. Melanin is produced in each hair follicle, and when a follicle stops producing melanin, the hair that grows out of it is colorless, appearing white. In people with dark hair, the overall appearance is gray. Everyone develops gray, or rather white, hair at some point in their lives, and usually this is a sign that age is catching up with you. In some cases however, white hair may appear prematurely, as it seems to be happening in your case. Normally, the first white hairs make their appearance only after the age of 30. Some fortunate people have very few white hairs even after the age of 50. However, there are other people who start developing white hairs in their teens. Unfortunately, there is not much that can be done about this, as it is a genetic problem. This does not necessarily mean that your parents too developed white hair in their teens; simply that the gene has been passed down to you from someone in the family. There is of course no way to change your genes, and there is no other way to control hair color except by dyeing it. Dyeing your hair is of course a decision that you will have to take yourself, and you can discuss this with your parents. Remember that dyeing is a rather troublesome chore, and requires some amount of regular expenditure. Many people choose to leave their hair as it is, and are not bothered by it. Others prefer to keep their hair really short, or shave it, so that they don’t have to deal with dyeing or with gray hair.

There are medications and remedies that are sold for the purpose of getting rid of white hair, but none of these are scientifically proven to have any effect. Some may even be harmful, so you should avoid trying any of them out. If your hair color really bothers you, you should consult your doctor. The only possible cause, apart from your genes, is a nutritional problem. This will not exactly cause you to develop white hair, but certain nutritional deficiencies could cause a few hairs to become thin, brittle, and light in color. If you have dark hair, these light colored hairs could look white in contrast. This problem can easily be solved by detecting and correcting your nutritional deficiency.
