Control hair dryness with home remedies
Hair loss or thinning of hair is a common condition that occurs due to a variety of reasons. Hormonal imbalance, unhealthy dietary habits, stress, pollution, constant exposure to sunlight, medication, prolonged illness, split ends and dandruff tend to have an adverse effect on the overall quality and texture of hair. Thin hair could also be a heredity problem. I am not too sure of what you mean by the term ‘English medicines’ but there are a wide variety of hair care tips and home remedies to curb this problem.
Dry, damaged hair is more susceptible to split ends and thinning. Hence, hair should not be washed daily as this strips the hair of its natural oil, thus leaving it more vulnerable to damage. Excessive combing or brushing, especially when the hair is wet, leads to a lot of breakage as the hair is the weakest at this time. It is advisable to run your fingers through wet hair instead, as this will detangle the hair without causing much strain on the strands. Combing your hair with a wide tooth comb, when it is almost dry, will help to reduce thinning to a large extent. Massaging the scalp with circular movements of the fingertips stimulates the flow of natural oil and blood to the scalp, making the hair healthy and strong. Massaging the scalp with a mixture of olive oil, castor oil and almond oil in equal proportions, immediately followed by covering the head with a hot, moist towel, is known to promote the growth of new strands, strengthen the roots and improve the overall quality of hair. Leaving the oil on overnight is believed to be more beneficial. Applying a mixture of coconut milk and a few drops of lemon juice to hair is also known to strengthen the hair, making it less prone to thinning caused by breakage.
If your hair is thin due to genetic reasons, the above mentioned natural hair care tips and home remedies may do little or no good at all. In such a case, you could resort to remedies for adding bounce to your hair. Eggs are an excellent natural conditioner. Beat up an egg and apply it to your hair. Keep it on for 10-15 minutes before washing it off with a mild shampoo. This increases the bounce and volume and leaves the hair healthy and strong. Adding a few drops of rosemary oil to your shampoo will stimulate hair growth. A final rinse with apple cider vinegar also gives shine and volume to hair.
