Natural remedies for dandruff control

If you wish to make your hair healthy, shampoos and conditioners alone wouldn’t benefit you. There are a lot of habits you will need to incorporate into your lifestyle. First of all, you must indeed keep your scalp and hair clean. An unclean scalp results in dandruff, which can further lead to hair fall. To keep your scalp and hair clean, wash your hair about thrice a week. Do not wash it every day, and do not wash it with hot water, as these would strip away the moisture and oil from your hair. Also make it a habit to massage your scalp with your fingertips for 10 minutes everyday, and massage warm oil into your scalp at least twice a week. Your diet also plays an important role in the health of your hair. Always consume a balanced diet with green leafy vegetables, fresh fruits, raw vegetables, nuts, and seeds, as well as whole grain. Get adequate sleep and always be stress free. A regular regime of exercise also helps in keeping your hair healthy, lustrous and dandruff free.

There are many natural hair care remedies that will help you fight dandruff and also make your hair smooth, thick, and lustrous. Hot oil therapy is a good way to get all the results you aim for. Mix coconut oil, olive oil, and almond oil in equal quantities, heat them till the mix is lukewarm, and massage it thoroughly into your scalp for about 15 minutes. Then wrap a hot damp towel around your head, keep it on for 15 minutes, and wash your hair off. The steam from the towel will help the oil penetrate the pores and moisturize your scalp. You can also keep the mix of oil in your hair overnight, and the next morning an hour before washing your hair, rub lemon juice into your scalp. Wash your hair thoroughly, and as a last rinse, use the juice of one lemon mixed in a cup of water. Use this treatment twice a week, and you will see positive results within a month. You can also mix two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in a cup of water and use it as a last rinse. Vinegar kills the bacteria that cause dandruff and conditions the hair too. Another effective mix could be prepared by boiling five teaspoons of used and dried tea leaves in lime water. Strain the liquid, and use this to rinse your hair after shampooing. This will nourish your hair and add luster to it.
