Keep skin healthy using natural skin oil
You need to start an exfoliation regime. This helps to keep the skin youthful and glowing. To exfoliate, buy a solution of salicylic acid face wash. Salicylic acids works by breaking the binding proteins of dead skin cells, making it easier to rub off with a regular rubbing action or a cloth. As you might have noticed, skin tends to become dry during the winter months because the amount of sebum that is secreted is not enough to stop the loss of moisture from the skin. This is simply because cold air holds less moisture that warm air and therefore the drying effect that occurs in the winter months. The best way to deal with this problem is to use a moisturizer with a heavy oil base. You could also just use an aloe vera cream that forms a protective layer over your face, shielding it from the effects of winter.
You must eat healthy to look healthy. Minimize the use of junk food like pizza, chips and soft drinks in your diet, as these are not healthy and only do more harm than good. Eat a fiber rich diet like bananas, apples and citrus fruits for vitamins. Your skin requires a regular intake of vitamins especially E, A, and the vitamin B family. These are required at the cellular level to ensure that cell reproduction is being done optimally and that the glands are also secreting enough material to keep your skin healthy. The most important thing that you can do to shelter your skin from damage is by establishing a good skin care regimen. It is very important to clean your skin every day and even many times during the day. This has an interesting repercussion as well. When the face is cleaned off of sebum, the natural skin oil, the glands tend to secrete even more to make up for the loss. This is beneficial from a moisturizing perspective.
Once you reach school, wash your face with water to wash the dust off. If your skin tends to be oily, try and sprinkle some water on your face every three hours. It keeps the skin oil free and supple. Also, if you travel in a public vehicle where the windows are open, try and keep your face covered with a light scarf keeping the breathing area free. It helps combat air pollution to quite an extent. On the weekends, prepare a paste of gram flour with milk. Apply it on your face and leave it to dry.
