Beautiful and glowing skin is not just about fair complexion, but about having healthy skin overall. It indicates a person’s good health and absence of toxins in the body. With some skin care tips and remedies, it’s not impossible to have fair and glowing skin. However, there is no magic trick to get the results. It takes time, diligence and patience, and you can lighten your skin tone only by a couple of shades. First of all, follow some basic tips that will also benefit your skin. Your diet has a direct impact on your skin. So incorporate fresh fruits and raw vegetables, cereals, pulses, whole grains, and green leafy vegetables in your daily diet. Avoid consuming heavy, fried, spicy, and oily foods. Drink at least three liters of water a day to wash the toxins out of your system. Also, it would benefit your skin greatly if you regularly got a 30-minute physical workout. It is also very important to wear sunscreen whenever stepping out, to avoid further darkening of the skin. After washing your face, always use a good moisturizer to make the skin look smooth, even, and healthy. If you do all these things, it will be half the battle won for you, as you will notice a glow on your skin shortly.

Since you have already identified your skin type, you can choose some natural skin care home remedies that would suit your skin and help you attain glowing skin. Almond is very beneficial for normal skin. Soak about eight almonds in water till they become soft. Then peel them and make a paste by mixing it with milk. Apply this paste on your face and let it stay for approximately fifteen minutes. Then wash your face with warm water. You can also make a paste of half a banana, one teaspoon of honey and two teaspoons sour cream. Apply the mix on your face and let it stay for 10 minutes. Then, using a soft damp cloth, wipe your face clean. Lemon and potato have natural bleaching agents. You can mix the juices of both in equal amounts and apply on your face. Keep it on for 20 minutes and wash it off with water. You can also apply a face pack of turmeric powder and limejuice. Let it sit for 20 minutes and then wash it off. A mix of one teaspoon of milk powder, honey and lemon juice each with 1/2 teaspoon almond oil is also beneficial. Let this mixture stay on your face for 15 minutes before washing it off.
