Hair Conditioning Treatment and Tips for Hair Conditioning

My hair has gone dry and rough.

I need to condition them. Can you provide me some best home remedy fo rhair conditioning?

There are several cheap, easy and effective home remedies available to condition your hair by yourself, without ever having to use a store bought conditioner. One of the best and highly effective ones is yogurt. Plain, fresh, unsweetened, unflavoured yogurt can be used to condition almost any kind of hair.

You can make a yogurt based hair pack to use once a week. The ingredients of this pack would depend upon your hair type. If you have oily hair, make a mix of a cup of yogurt, a few drops of lime juice, two tablespoons of black gram flour (also known as chana flour) and one egg white. Whip this well and apply to your scalp and hair in even layers. This will nourish your hair very well and will also not add to the oiliness, which is what you need to do. If you have dry hair, take a cup of yogurt, a tablespoon of olive oil and one egg yolk. Apply this in even layers to your scalp and hair. You would need to let the pack work in your hair and scalp for about three to six hours, depending upon the length and thickness of your hair. You can wash this off with your regular soap of shampoo. You will notice a change with each application.

On a daily basis, you can wash your hair and rinse out with whipped yogurt. Once a week, you must make it a point to apply hair oil to your hair as well. Warm the oil till it is slightly hot to touch. Massage this into your scalp in gentle circular motions. Leave for about an hour. After this, you should follow the process of hot water fomentation. This would mean, take a towel, dip it in very hot water, squeeze out and cover your hair with this. Do this about five times, so as to saturate the penetration of oil down to your hair roots. After this, wash with lukewarm water. For a monthly routine, you should apply henna to your hair. Henna is the best natural conditioner you would find for your hair. Take a cup of henna powder, add a tablespoon of lime juice to it and whip in a whole egg. If it is still too thick, you can also add a tablespoon of yogurt to it. Apply this to your hair and scalp and wash it off after it begins to harden and dry.
