Graying of the Hair, Cause of Graying Hair, How to Stop Greying of Hair
Hi, I am Shiv! I have white hairs and I am just 24 years old.
What treatment should I take to prevent premature graying of hair and how soon my hairs can become black or brown? It is usually after the age of 35 that most of us start noticing white hair amongst our tresses. But if have already started developing white hair at the age of 24, then it could be due to various reasons. The most common reason could be heredity. If premature graying of hair runs in your family, chances of you escaping that are very slim.
Stress could also be one of the reasons. If you have been under a lot of stress for a very long time, your hair will the first ones to show the signs. One more reason could be a prolonged illness. If you have been suffering from an illness over a period of time, it could affect your hair. And lastly, something that almost no one takes into consideration, especially with regards to hair, is a proper diet. Your daily diet must include vitamin B, iodine, copper, folic acid, and iron. Any or all of these could be the reasons for the graying of your hair, therefore, it is vital that you figure out the reason and work accordingly.
There is nothing you can do about the hair that has already turned grey except dye or color it. But to stop the rest of the hair from turning grey, there are a few that you can do. The one thing that is well known for arresting premature graying is Indian gooseberries. You can make a mixture out of a fistful of these gooseberries and lemon juice. You can grind these together and apply the mixture on your scalp and leave it on for half an hour before washing your hair. You can also add the Indian gooseberries to your hair oil and boil it for a few minutes. After the oil cools down, you can apply this to your scalp and hair. Leave it on overnight for better results. You can also prepare the following hair pack to control the graying of your hair. Take a handful of sage leaves and boil it in two cups of water. After the water cools down, strain it and add a cup of tea water, one tablespoon of clove powder and four tablespoons of henna. Apply this mixture to your scalp and hair and it on for at least half an hour if not more, before you shampoo it off. Please note that all these remedies will take some time to show any results, so have patience and work diligently at it.
