Lighten Permanent Hair Color and Hair Removal Techniques
I went for permanent hair coloring some times back.
The color is dark and now I don’t like it. Can you let me know how to remove permanent hair color? Or is there any way to lighten them at least?
The problem with permanent hair color is that it is meant to be more or less permanent.
Therefore, getting it out of your hair is not easy but possible. There are a number of ways with which you can begin. These include; hot oil treatments, repeated application of a hair lightening spray , constant shampooing and the use of plain old water will gradually help fade the hair dye over time.
How to remove permanent Hair Color?
If you have gotten your hair colored with a professional stylist then the best thing to do is to contact them as soon as possible as hair color has a time period of about two or three days before it actually locks into the cuticle. If you have done it at home then another option is to contact the hair color manufacturer with the help of the consumer helpline number that is normally provided on the packaging (box) or in the instruction brochure. If none of these attempts work then you can also try repairing the damage your self.
Begin by saturating the strands of colored hair with a mixture of seventy percent alcohol, making sure to avoid direct application on your scalp. After about five or ten minutes apply mineral oil to your hair (on top of the alcohol) and then cover your hair with a plastic cap. Once this is done the best option this is to sit under a 'hood dryer', but if you do not have one then use the heat from a blow dryer on hair. Do this for about thirty five or forty minutes. Once done remove the oil and alcohol by applying a good cleansing or clarifying shampoo to your hair. Make sure to lather and rinse your hair well. Finally make a small bleach and shampoo mixture; apply it to your hair and then wash out your hair.
