Remedies for Removing Pimples

Pimples that appear suddenly can spoil your looks. They can also shake your self confidence. People develop pimples for a variety of reasons. It is commonly believed that pimples appear when your diet consists of mostly fried, oily and spicy food.

However, you often find people who eat only these kinds of food and yet they have enviably smooth skin. There are a variety of treatments for pimples. Some of these may work for you while others may not.

One of the easiest remedies for pimples is the application of toothpaste on the boil. You should first apply the toothpaste on your pimples for a short period in order to test and see if your skin reacts to the toothpaste. Overnight application of toothpaste on the pimple, it is believed, will dry out the boil instantly. You should take care to apply only a tiny amount of the tooth paste on the boil. Applying honey on the pimples also helps to dry them out.  You can also grate a piece of raw papaya and squeeze it to extract the juice. This juice can be applied on the pimples. The juice helps cure the pimple.

Another remedy that you can try is to peel and grate a raw potato. Tie up the grated pieces in a piece of muslin cloth and rub in a circular motion on the affected area. You can also use the piece of potato directly on the skin, without going to the trouble of grating it. You can also dry roast three pods of clove. Powder them and then add a few drops of yogurt to this powder. This can be applied to your pimples. This is a remedy that is especially recommended for people who have oily skin and should work fine for you. A face mask made of orange peel and some water can also be applied on the pimples. You will see an improvement if you do this regularly. You can put over ripe tomatoes from your fridge to good use – simply mash them and apply on your face. You can keep them on your face for about an hour and then wash this off.  Personal hygiene is also equally important. You should wash your face at regular intervals. Avoid rubbing your skin dry. Instead, you should pat your skin dry. Avoid touching the affected parts of your face since this will cause the pimples to spread.
